Your Life is a Function in God, not a function of
self-survival

 Your Life is a Function in God, not a function of self-survival. 
In Truth your Life is a God-Purposed Life, not a society-purposed life. 
The Function of a Listening Group is to turn us to a God-Purposed Life. 

The function of a Listening Group is to turn each other constantly to the SpiritualMaster, the Truth Condition, the Divine Reality. 

A Listening Group came into existence for the purpose of Serving the Spiritual Master – that is, the Inherent Truth Condition of the body/mind. It can be said of a Listening Group that its Primary Purpose is to Serve one of the many qualities of Satsang – direct whole-bodily communion in and with the Life-given Nature of the body/mind. 

Satsang (whole-bodily feeling identity with and as the undifferentiated Unity that underlies all conditions) is the Principle that moves the individual through and beyond every stage of the otherwise self-concerned egoic identity. 

A Listening Group is a function given by the Spiritual Master for those who wish to transcend all the binding effects associated with the activity of obtaining a sense of “who I am” from the world. A Listening Group is solely for the purpose of turning each other to the Spiritual Master, on the basis of Understanding our Inherent Life Nature. In other words, it is not a means for the purpose of consoling or indeed “fixing” the distress caused by the egoic identity, but rather the Listening Group’s function is to keep reminding us of and turning us to Satsang – the God-Given Identity of the body/mind - LIFE. 

Allow me to speak as I am. I did not come into this world to sort out or solve any problems created by humans, who exist outside the Truth Condition. No Spiritual Adept came into this world to sort out the problems and atrocities that are perpetuated by those who cling to religious, cultural or social identities. 
That violent mayhem has always been, and always will be, the outcome of clinging to separate conditional divisions of the All-Pervading Unity of Being. 

I have not come to help any individual with their egoic methods. However, this is almost constantly over-looked, misunderstood or not heard. Ego is the method by which one limits the Self to a separate, different self - a human being identified as different from others by means of association with or belonging to one national, cultural or religious division of society or another. In other words, a human-made division of the otherwise indefinable and indivisible Unity. 

Understand this well at all times, and especially in the context of a Listening Group. There is a vast difference between correcting someone and helping someone. And secondly, there is a vast difference between helping someone and trying to get them to think like you. 

A Listening Group has nothing to do with correcting someone else about anything at all, nor is it about trying to get another to think like you. A Listening Group is for the Purpose of helping to turn each other to the Spiritual Real, the Transcendental Identity. 

Correcting someone is a righteous approach and righteousness has its roots in anger, albeit congealed or passive anger; it has very little to do with what the human who is being corrected wants, let alone has asked for. Trying to get another to think like you is an act of aggression, just as judging another on the basis of what you think is an act of antagonism. There are many misconceptions and self-deceptions in our human interactions and exchanges, obscured beneath the illusory pretence, “I am only trying to help you.”
Helping someone depends entirely on the kind of help a person wants. Ah… for that, one has to listen very quietly and deeply to be able to hear. 

While I was in Uma Ashram, I was sitting amongst people who were turning to the Spiritual Real, the Spiritual Master, the Renunciate Heart. Many of them also spoke fluent Hindi or Sanskrit, though none of them were, well, Listening to see if their language or culture was being adhered to, nor for that matter, were they Listening for social or moral imperatives. They were there to Realise the True Nature of their form, the undifferentiated Unity that underlies all the apparent differences. And so, the righteous motive for correcting others was absent. 

We did not come together to correct each other on any social/cultural/religious/moral imperatives. Students with a Renunciate Heart are Students with a Renunciate Heart because they have begun to see the bodily cramp and the cost of the personal-self-identity. They are, at the very least, no longer interested in maintaining divisions, be they based on nationality, gender, culture, religion or philosophy as the means of regulating bodily Life. 

As a worldly example, but one that demonstrates the Principle, I go to a teacher for music. No matter what troubles I have, she turns me to the music. Well, that is why I go to her. She turns me to the music not merely in a learning, mental, thinking way but much more than that, she turns me whole-bodily to the music. 
I did not say this makes it any easier, but because I can feel how much she “lives” the music (or the music “lives” her) and because I admire and enjoy that of her, it stimulates a bodily feeling for the music, not merely only a mental or academic learning. What’s more, not one note of it is about trying to fix relationship problems or enhance self-importance, or about right and wrong, and so forth. 

This is what I call a great teacher, one who is actually “lived” by what they teach.
Not merely a “teacher” who imparts what they know. In this case, if I were to go to a music study group connected to that teacher, I would not be going there to sort out my self-concerns, nor would I go to correct others about how they should be, the dialect they are using and so forth. And I would not be going in order to show others how much I know or to be acknowledged for anything at all. Turn, turn, turn me to the music. Come in the whole-bodily mood of music, whether you play or not. Forget about your social/moral imperatives, all your self-sorrow, and how you cannot play your instrument very well. Forget it and thereby allow the body’s wisdom to remember its Universal Sound. 

Well, Beloved, come in the whole-bodily mood of Love. Love has no divisions, no limited identity, and no historical story. Therefore, come in the mood of Love and then you will begin to Understand the Unity of Being, the Renunciate Heart. 
Love is always and forever in the Present moment unto It Self. Love Realisation is a different kind of intelligence to the intelligence that is linked with or bound to the socially accepted personality and its conditional identity. Love Realisation IS Wisdom Realisation, which is of a different kind of intelligence to that used to maintain social or moral imperatives and conversations of self-deception, righteousness and lies. 

A Listening Group is one aspect of the Renunciate Heart’s Work in the world. 
However, it will only function as an instrument of the Renunciate Heart’s Work to the degree that those who attend are attending as a Confession they want that Help and are therefore prepared to relinquish their argument and crusade to right the wrongs of others, based on their own self-concerns and need to be right. A Listening Group is not the circumstance for any individual’s desire to correct another - meaning to pull another into their way of thinking, or their social, cultural or religious identity and its imperatives. 

And it is not about trying to wangle appreciation out of others and when not getting it, abandon with all kinds of specious blameful justifications. Humans continue to create these self-deceptive, self-identity divisions while they stand outside the indivisible Spiritual Real Identity – the Renunciate Heart Being. 

I have not come to protect or defend any world culture, religion, society, gender or philosophy. I have come to Ignite, again and again, the Process in Satsang (God-the-Real Communion) as the Life Way of moving through the stages of human existence and beyond.
