Notes from the Ethics Consideration In Losing Shadow

I therefore propose that the only true Ethical or Moral life is then one of relinquishing the egoic point of view, the self-conscious point of view, the with-holding Life-Force point of view, and that this is for the sake of fully and whole-bodily embracing the True Source of our Existence, the Spiritual Reality.

When You, Beloved, took human physical form, that human physiology had a brain/nervous system that would enable you to project into the future, live in the past, hold awareness of your inevitable bodily death and make plans for your own individual life. It is with this physiology, in this so-called ‘intelligence’, that we then encase ourselves in self-consciousness.

We, in the shock of our birth, in the shock of taking physical form, turned in on our-selves. Recoiling into our separate bodily form, we turn away from the Joy and the Delight of our Inherent Self, our Source of Being, our unconditional and so always Self-evident Life-given Being, the form of Sat-Chit-Ananda, Being-Consciousness-Bliss.

Falling back into our own particular physical difference, we are then subjected to ethics and therefore to codes of behaviour that are generated by a society that is based in individuated-consciousness. Left in our recoil and in a system that promotes, rewards and celebrates individual self-effort, we then set about trying to squeeze the Life of us into a separate-self incarcerated-person mould.

If we take the commonly accepted, ‘official’ meaning of ‘ethics’, then ethics is a system of moral principles or values that guide individuals, groups or organisations in determining what is right and wrong and how to behave in a fair and just manner. It involves examining one’s own beliefs and actions to ensure that they are reasonable and well-founded, and then striving to live up to those standards. My point is, if we are to fully consider the subject of Ethics and so begin to discover, what is a truly Ethically Lived Life? Then we must first understand the basis on which our cultural, societal and spiritual ethics are formed, each one of us must understand for ourselves, on what basis are we currently proposing to ‘live’ ‘our life’.

I propose that our entire species is suffering in trauma, the shock of taking form and then of realising the mortality of that form. Now in on-going recoil (from the One Undifferentiated Life Consciousness or Life-Force as the Basis of our Identity, our very Self), we are withdrawing into the trauma that IS self-consciousness, self-consciousness being the activity, the mental, emotional and psychic activity, of making the body/mind our Identity. The symptom of this activity, the very sensation of self-consciousness, is the impression that one is still… not yet good enough – as if birth was for the purpose of continual improvement on the already Miraculous Gift of Life.

I suggest that it is then looking out from this state of self-consciousness that we perceive and ‘make up’ every kind of idea, presumption and so-called ‘truth’ about our self, others and the world. Furthermore, now in this state of recoil from our Inherently Complete Nature Identity, we are then always beginning from a sensation that we are not yet good enough. We therefore then go through our existence as a someone to be improved, made better (even “cured”), made worthy (of what, we are mostly not sure…); a perpetual feeling that we must seek to be fulfilled.

For example, almost every one of our cultural and religious inventions begins on the basis of the Fall. That is, our collapse into vital shock and then an on-going retreat into a self-consciousness that is based on this human form being different from other forms - mere bodily difference. Now, having split our-Selves, betrayed our Nature, our already One Spiritual Identity with All, our cultural and religious inventions conveniently provide the means for us to then live out a kind of ethical, passive insanity, and it is with this acceptably-behaved insanity that we set about the search for our already Sanity.

I propose that what we have created is a way of life, a way of ‘living’, and a pursuit of the Spiritual, that is founded on not already whole-bodily feeling recognition of our already Completeness in God, in the Spiritual Reality as the Spiritual Reality, in other words, the Spiritual Reality that our bodies are already the proof of. I suggest, that if we examine the ethics that we are using to inform our codes of behaviour, our ways of thinking, our ways of relating to each other, our spiritual endeavours and so forth, that these are the ethics of being a good seeker, a well-behaved fearful seeker, an obedient servant to the self-conscious one; that the underlying ethics of our society are the ethics around the control of a collective fear in which to create an orderly search for the happiness that keeps evading us but yet keeps us in the game. Furthermore, that it is on these ultimately search-protecting ethics that we then stand to become a righteous judge of others, especially those whom we perceive are not adhering to the rightful behaviour of the search… the search of the self-conscious one.

Can you really feel what a crime it is to the Inherent Spirit of us to say to anyone, ”Well, here you are, now you have to make something of yourself!” But this is exactly the sign of our insanity, our betrayal of Love, our Spiritual Un-Faithfulness. It’s as if (and it is) it is so in our face, has so much become the norm, that we cannot see that we have created a society, a culture, a religion, a spiritual quest and an altogether perception of our self on the smallest fraction of All Life Consciousness. By turning Attention to our own separate bodily difference, we assume a lesser Identity of the Self, a conditional identity, an identity that then has to make something of its self. It is then on this fraction of the Consciousness of the All Pervading Spiritual Reality that we have created our societies, cultures, religions and our Spirit-seeking practices. We make ourselves small, inferior, threatened and unworthy Godless creatures ‘trying’ to love and to be loved, and from that, on that basis, we then try to live as an ethically good person, as an ethically good spiritual seeker, an ethically good lesser person.

Spiritual Ethics are therefore not based on rules and external moral systems, rather on the Inherent Nature (Spirit), the already Life Given Inherent Full Consciousness.
Otherwise, we have what we have, people trying to align themselves to socially accepted codes while desperately trying to avoid punishment for the slightest deviation.

That the only truly Ethical behaviour arises out of our Heart and Mindful Honouring, our True Recognition and Gratitude for the One Great Spirit that Lives us and makes all manifestation possible.

Are we obeying the ethics of the search? - the ethics that maintain and make acceptable the rupture, the betrayal of our otherwise already and always Complete Life-given Self Being.
Or, will we Awaken to the Ethics of our True Nature?
- our already and always Present Spirit Identity Self. And thereby, always offer all our Help and Encouragement and Inspiration in Love to all - so that they too can feel and recognise their already In-Light-Self Being.

Ahh…..Hello Beloved.
