People want their tendencies (they are mostly unconscious to this) to be enlightened before they have let go to be consumed in God the Real - the Life Motive.
Here’s the problem (even though it does not have to be) people are always looking for an “answer”. So, when I (or any True Spirit Adept Being) speaks or writes people listen (or read) with a mind that is searching…wanting…an answer.
Most humans are quite unconscious about what they are actually doing. And this is what they are doing. They are always defining self, relative to others, always interpreting as the means to get a sense of self. Constantly at the whim of others, the power of others, the opinions of others, the moods of others, the rejection of others, the wants of others and on and on.
Awakening is most fundamentally Awakening from tendencies that got laid down, as it were, in childhood and adolescence. If we are to truly “grow” into the “adult” stage of Life (as a human) we must transcend or go beyond or “not use” these early stage reactive tendencies. But, what do people do? They want their tendencies to be enlightened. Well, we want our tendencies justified.
The individual is chronically habituated by reactive (or coping mechanisms) laid down in the childhood and adolescent stage. The usual individual thinks, assumes, wants Awakening to be something else, some kind of glorious “self-enlightenment” (by that I mean they want all their reactive tendencies to be enlightened tendencies. Again we want our tendency to withdraw from the Life-Motive justified. We seek an “answer” that will justify our tendencies of the separate-self person
And why is this? Because, (as others were confessing yesterday) when engaging with each other, not to resort to ones tendencies leaves one feeling very odd, almost scary, very vulnerable etc. As someone said yesterday, they can see if they did not resort to their usual tendencies they are in the unknown. Yes, we can all talk about the unknown, the mystery blah blah blah….but, by tendencies of coping, we prevent going there. Because it is scary, unknown.
The dark night of the Soul was a term used by one to describe or indicate the period of Love-Full Endurance of “putting down” those tendencies when engaging with others and the world.
People want their tendencies (they are mostly unconscious to this) to be enlightened before they have let go to be consumed in God the Real – the Life Motive. They are chronically (by reaction) involved in their own motive and constantly looking for answers for all the dilemmas and suffering that is created by clinging to our own separate-self motive. We are all, whether we like it or not, servants of the Life-Motive.
When one truly accepts this and realises this, there is a huge relief. The nervous system is once again bathed in Its Natural Motive – the Life Motive, rather than being constantly “screwed” by our separate-self motive…..which is utterly toxic to the Life Motive of the nervous system. This is not an answer. This only is to be realised by the Love-Full submission of the separate-self motive into the Life-Motive…and then…from there ..gradually True Wisdom Intelligence begins to Inform us…True Understanding begins. Otherwise we are playing this self-deceptive game…the game of looking for answers before we have Love-Fully submitted (the separate-self motive) into the Embrace of the Life Motive. Which, by the way all other creatures and plants on this Earth are so gloriously naturally adhering in.
